2007/08 also opened its doors recently. With students representing 19 different nationalities, the MBA is the most international of EDHEC's wide range of English-taught programmes and this year's class proves to be one of the most diverse ever.
China, India, Japan, United Arab Emirates, USA, Sweden,Denmark, Finland, South Korea, Germany, Jamaica, Morocco, Netherlands, Nigeria, Peru, Romania, South Africa and Ethiopia are just some of the nationalities figuring in the class this year. With backgrounds ranging from Engineering to Law, Finance to Tourism, an average age of 32 and average professional experience 8 years, group discussions are set to be a rich learning experience.
For many MBA participants, it was the first time back into a classroom for several years, but with the exciting first schedule in the
New Visions - New Ambitions module, the students are keen to get their teeth into new knowledge.... This module includes outward bound activities, a brush up of negotiation and presentation skills, discussions on critical thinking, decision making, and business complexity and strategy and is one which invites the participants to step outside the world of business and really consider their personal plans.
Ashwini Herur from India gave her first impressions on her first few days in the MBA programme.
"Any apprehensions I had about going to France and returning to studies were short lived. The introductory session to the programme immediately made me feel comfortable with the faculty and other participants and gave me a glimpse on the challenges I would face during the year. The welcome session gave me an opportunity to know and understand my fellow colleagues and I was particularly happy to see such an international student mix and their diverse background. We have nationals from all over the world who have professional experience in all sorts of fields. I'm confident that I will have a great year ahead that will prove to be a rich professional and personal experience."
