Renowned Guest Lecturers on Campus

Risk and Asset Management students have entered an exciting final module with an impressive line up of guest lecturers from some of the highest positions in the Finance industry.

The module, which develops Advanced Topics in Risk and Asset Management, is greatly appreciated not only because of its exceptional quality of lecturers, but because of the direct contact it allows students to have with these high - ranking professionals from some of the best-known companies in the finance industry. Students have the exclusivity of these experts and are confronted with the knowledge gained from their vast experience in fields such as Hedge Fund Investment and Quantitative Risk Management. Some have found jobs with the companies below through interviews conducted after the course.

Students finish their MSc programme with this module and enter their end-of-study internships. This exciting final module comes at an ideal time on their calendar when they are able to put this newly acquired theoretical knowledge immediately into practice

Guest lecturers include:


Patrick Fenal, CEO of Unigestion joined the company in 1978 and held various positions in the area of asset management including bond manager before supervising the hedge funds activities. He heads the hedge funds investment committee and brings his experience and expertise to each step of the hedge funds process. 

Christophe de Dardel is the Executive Director responsible for Unigestion's Private Equity Investments.  He previously worked in Europe and the USA for Société Générale de Surveillance and more recently as head of Swisscom's venture capital activities.

Olivier Lemarois, CEO of Riskdata since 2000, is a recognised authority on risk management for Hedge Funds investors, speaking globally and consulting leading Fund Management firms on the practical implementation of portfofio risk applications. After 4 years in the French public administration, he joined in 1993 the Vivendi Group where he was in charge of the energy business development.

Agustin Sevilla, Chief Investment Officer of AXA Rosenberg Investment Management (Europe), oversees the investment process for all portfolios invested in the European markets. Agustin originally joined AXA Rosenberg in 1989 as director of portfolio management for Japanese equity accounts. He left in 1995 to join Chancellor LGT Asset Management (now Invesco), New York, as director, global quantitative equity research. In 2000, he rejoined AXA Rosenberg and moved to Tokyo as Chief Investment Officer and Chief Executive Officer of AXA Rosenberg Investment Management (Japan).

Fons Lute, Chief Investment Officer of Blue Sky Group, the pension service provider of the KLM pension funds in the Netherlands. Fons Lute started working in financial markets in 1984 as a portfolio manager for real estate and private loans after which he moved to Pensioenfonds Hoogovens as an economist and combined this with, first, equity portfolio management and later fixed income portfolio management. In 1993 he became a deputy director of investments at Delta Lloyd Insurance Company in Amsterdam, responsible for asset allocation for segregated funds. In 1997 he went to Fortis Investments Management in Utrecht as a senior portfolio manager focusing on asset allocation after which he joined  the Blue Sky Group as head of the Investment Strategy Research department.

Jean François Lepetit spent most of his career at Banque INDOSUEZ from 1969 to 1996 in charge of money and capital markets and investment banking activities and became Vice Chairman and CEO in 1994. He joined the Banque Nationale de Paris in 1997 where he was appointed Advisor to the Chairman of the Board, and Chairman of the groups Market Risk Committee. He left the BNP at the beginning of 2000 in order to focus on his regulatory activities. In November 2003 he retired and became an Associate Professor at EDHEC business school; he is Chairman of the EDHEC Risk en Asset Management Research Centre Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Board of BNP PARIBAS.

Nicolas Marque is Deputy Head of Structured Products Sales for Europe at BNP Paribas. After a first experience in BNP Milan, He was appointed in 2001 as Equity Derivatives Sales on the French Market. In 2005, he became head of Structured Product Sales for French and Belgian Institutional clients. He is now heading the European Sales teams based in Paris.

Louis Chaillet, is Senior Researcher at ABP. His research specialisation is in Risk and ALM. He joined ABP Investments in 2003 and has been Senior Controller and Global Risk Manager for ABP. Louis has a 22 year experience in the investment profession. Before joining ABP he was head of investments at the Doctors pension fund. He has previously worked as head of research, and head of institutional asset management.
